QPWB Announces Name Change

MIAMI, October 27, 2003 – Hugh Wood, managing partner of the law firm formerly known as Quintairos, McCumber, Prieto & Wood, recently announced several significant changes at the firm, including a firm name change to Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.

"We’re very pleased to announce that Eric W. Boyer has become a name partner in our firm," said Wood. "He has made many strong contributions to this firm since we were founded 1998." Wood also announced that the firm’s name was changing to reflect Boyer’s contributions, as well as the departure of partner Andrew R. McCumber, who previously headed up the firm’s Tampa office. "Andy and some attorneys from the Tampa office have decided to form their own firm, and we wish them well," Wood said. Boyer practices from the firm's Miami office. His areas of practice include general liability, insurance defense, medical malpractice, and nursing home defense litigation. A graduate of Indiana University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1994, Mr. Boyer earned a Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude) from the Florida State University College of Law in 1997.
