QPWB FURTHER EXPANDS ITS LITIGATION PRACTICE WITH THE ADDITION OF THREE LAWYERS

ORLANDO – Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), has announced the addition of three attorneys to the firm’s established litigation and trial practices.

Kevin W. Richardson has rejoined the firm as a partner.  His practice focuses on insurance defense, nursing home defense, hospital defense, administrative law, medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, appellate advocacy and professional liability defense.  Richardson has been recognized in Florida Trend’s 2006 issue of Florida Legal Elite as a “Top Up & Comer.”  He brings vast experience in delivering successful outcomes for clients in healthcare and other disputes.  Richardson earned his B.A. degree in History from the University of South Florida in 1994, and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 1997.  Richardson is admitted to practice in Florida.  He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Florida Health Care Association and the Florida Association of Homes for the Aging.   

Robert A. Santa Lucia joins the firm as a partner and member of the firm’s burgeoning litigation practice.  He will be located in the Tampa office.  Santa Lucia’s areas of practice include civil litigation, insurance defense, general liability, personal injury, construction defects, products liability, employment law, professional negligence and property subrogation.  Santa Lucia earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983, and his law degree from the University of Toledo in 1986.  He is admitted to practice in Florida, where he has litigated cases for a wide array of clients.

Ramon E. Javier has also joined the firm as an associate in the Miami office.  Javier’s practice focuses on insurance defense, premises liability, construction litigation, professional malpractice defense, personal injury defense and white collar criminal defense.  Javier earned his B.A. degree in 1991 from New York University, and in 1995 he received his law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Huntington, NY.  He is admitted to practice law in Florida, New York and the District of Columbia.  Javier is a certified arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau’s auto line program.

The move marks the third time within three months that QPWB has strategically expanded its litigation practice group in Miami, Tampa and Orlando offices.  In July, a prominent group of defense and trial lawyers joined our Tampa office.
