Robin N. Khanal is a partner at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. and practices from the firm's Orlando office. His areas of practice include nursing home and assisted living defense litigation, medical malpractice, construction defects, and premises liability.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he received, with honors, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology in 1998, Mr. Khanal earned a Juris Doctor, again with honors, from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2002.
Mr. Khanal is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Florida and all state courts within Florida and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Northern District of Florida.
Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Khanal has offered a wide array of litigation defense and risk management consulting services to meet the needs of our clients.
Mr. Khanal often lectures at accredited seminars and provides in-service training to corporate leaders, risk managers, and facility employees. He has lectured throughout the country on healthcare, insurance and risk management issues. He is frequently selected to lecture at national and local conferences including the American Health Care Association, the American Medical Directors Association, Florida Health Care Association, Florida Assisted Living Affiliation, Florida Association Directors of Nursing Administration, and the Florida Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
Mr. Khanal was selected to participate in a comprehensive survey on the topic of Negotiated Risk Agreements in Assisted Living. The event was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Evaluations, and the Office of Disability, Aging and Long Term Care. His opinions and knowledge in this area were utilized in various U.S. Congressional Committee hearings.
